We awash with metaphors and similes
The bridges we cross got rickety
Nothing is ever really what it seems

Blood runs deep like roots in trees
Dying on feets better than life on your knees
I’ll switch the light off when I leave
Decrompressed and let off steam
All we can do is say what we mean
Trying to figure out how to get back on the team
